The Department of History, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position in the history of the Middle East at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin August 16, 2023. We welcome research that focuses on any time period, although candidates should also be qualified to teach courses on the modern Middle East.

PhD in history or closely related field is required; publication and teaching experience preferred. PhD is required at the time of application or by June 15, 2023, to be appointed as an Assistant Professor.
