The Assistant Athletic Coach has the responsibility for assisting the Head Athletic Coach with the overall management and supervision of all aspects of the athletic program including, but not limited to recruiting, planning and managing practices, game stats, equipment management, and monitoring academic progress and eligibility of student-athletes. The position is fully responsible for compliance with National Junior College Athletic Association ( NJCAA ) rules and regulations as well as MCC’s policies governing intercollegiate athletics. Minimal Qualifications
Education
  • Associate’s degree
  • A combination of formal training and professional tested experience such as coaching experience, equivalent to 6,000 hours.
Experience:
Preferred:
  • Experience in recruitment, planning and managing practices, maintain game stats, equipment management, promotional activities and public relations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of NJCAA rules and regulations governing recruitment, eligibility and related functions.
Required:
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Management and organizational skills.
  • A record of inclusive conduct and evidence of multicultural skills in the workplace.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record prior to driving on district business.
    • A MVR check will be executed annually in adhere to MCC’s Motor Vehicle Safety District Regulation (3.05170 DR).
