Carnegie Mellon University’s department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is searching for two Administrative Coordinators. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in an interesting and challenging work environment. You will contribute to the department by providing and coordinating administrative assistance to the faculty, students, and staff of the department in a timely manner.

Your core responsibilities will include:
  • Completing a broad variety of financial/administrative tasks including expense reimbursements; verifying procurement card purchases

  • Coordinating event planning for small research or academic related events (one-on-ones, group meetings, seminars, workshops, etc.) including all logistical support (scheduling, promotion, attendance, agendas, catering, compiling meeting content material, contracts, space reservation, remote connectivity and video communication). Assisting other department event planners with logistical support for larger events.

  • Providing general office management: setting up and maintaining complex filing systems, initiating, and processing purchase orders for office equipment and supplies, paying bills, etc.

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED

  • 3-5 years of administrative support experience
