The Department of Psychology at Salve Regina University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor in Social Psychology and Behavior Analysis to begin in Fall 2023. The successful candidate will primarily teach undergraduate courses in Social Psychology, Introduction to Psychology, Statistics and Research Methods (a year- long research embedded course), and special topics in their areas of expertise. They will also have responsibilities for teaching graduate Behavior Analysis courses and supervising graduate research for the MS and Ph.D. programs in Behavior Analysis. The highly sought-after candidate will be one who demonstrates some of the following: has worked extensively with underserved populations and/or has research and teaching expertise working with diverse populations. A teaching load commensurate with the other duties of the position is set at 7 courses per year.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities include teaching, maintaining productive research and scholarship, advising undergraduate students; teaching and supervising research in the graduate programs in Behavior Analysis and participating in service at the university, local, and national levels.


Requirements:

Basic Requirements:
  • Doctoral degree in Psychology by Fall 2023
  • Credentialed as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst- Doctoral Or Equivalent Qualifications
  • Evidence of expertise in Social Psychology

  • Ability to teach to a diverse group of students
  • Evidence of potential for scholarly productivity
