Schedule Information: 8:00am-4:30pm, Monday through Friday

Hours per Week: 37.5 hours

Work Conditions: Work is primarily indoor and sedentary in nature.

Duties of Position: Performs advanced research involving surveys, evaluation plans, and large institutional initiatives. Work requires collaboration with a wide variety of stakeholders across campus. This position supports the institutional focus on evidence-informed improvement.

Collaborates with stakeholders to develop and design internal surveys. Analyzes and reports results of those surveys.

Supports development and analysis of evaluation plans and results, and collaborates with teams to interpret those results.

Assists a variety of college stakeholders with appropriate data analysis and use of results (i.e. Assessment, Grants, Accreditation).

Presents findings through narrative reports, visual/graphic displays, internal and external websites, and in-person presentations.

Retrieves and analyzes data from the Data Warehouse and Banner using COGNOS and other SQL based query tools.

Provides data support for institutional initiatives (Strategic Planning, Grants, Accreditation).

Maintains institutional dashboards and related data.

Work collaboratively within the Planning and Institutional Effectiveness Division on data needs for Outcomes Assessment, Institutional Effectiveness and Strategic Planning.

Participates in various institutional effectiveness, strategic planning and assessment-related initiatives.

Serves on shared governance and other institutional committees as appropriate (e.g. Strategic Planning and Accountability Committee, Accountability Work Group).

Manages multiple priorities and high volumes of work.

Effectively communicates information and/or results of analyses to diverse audiences.

Performs other related duties as needed.

Educational Requirements: Bachelor's degree including coursework in social science or educational research, including coursework in quantitative and qualitative research methods. Master's degree preferred.

Experience Requirements: Prior experience working in higher education preferred. Strong interpersonal communication and relationship building skills. Ability to retrieve, analyze, and present data in meaningful formats (tables, charts, graphs) to various audiences. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and statistical software (SPSS, R). Excellent attention to detail. Excellent analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills.
