Description

Flagler College is seeking an Assistant / Associate Professor of Economics to begin August 2023. The desired candidate will have strong teaching as well as a record of student mentorship, scholarship, and service. This is a full-time position with an annual teaching load of 4/4. Salary and benefits are competitive and commensurate with rank and experience. Future promotion in rank is based upon review and evaluation of the successful candidate’s teaching, professional development, and service in accordance with Flagler College’s guidelines.

We seek a colleague who demonstrates an enthusiasm for teaching in an undergraduate liberal arts environment. Teaching responsibilities include introductory and upper-level Economics courses to include Money & Banking in support of the Economics’ program as well as other Business program areas.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications: PhD in Economics or ABD with expected completion before August 2023. Evidence of teaching excellence in undergraduate Economics courses. A demonstrated commitment to student mentorship. Presentation of an active professional development / scholarly activity agenda.

Preferred Qualifications: A demonstrated record of interdisciplinary study and work. Evidence of undergraduate advising. Experience in teaching Money & Banking courses.
