Flagler College is seeking an Assistant / Associate Professor of Accounting to begin August 2023. The desired candidate will have strong teaching as well as a record of student mentorship, scholarship, and service. This is a full-time position with an annual teaching load of 4/4. Salary and benefits are competitive and commensurate with rank and experience. Future promotion in rank is based upon review and evaluation of the successful candidate’s teaching, professional development, and service in accordance with Flagler College’s guidelines.

We seek a colleague who demonstrates an enthusiasm for teaching in an undergraduate liberal arts environment. Teaching responsibilities include introductory and upper-level Accounting courses as well as courses in support of other Business program areas.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: A Master’s Degree in a business related field with a minimum of 18 student credit hours in Accounting.

Preferred Qualifications: A PhD in Accounting or ABD with expected completion before August 2023. Demonstrated experience in the following areas: Cost, Managerial, AIS, Audit and / or Financial Accounting. CPA or CMA Certification, Public Accounting and industry experience. Evidence of teaching excellence in undergraduate accounting courses. A demonstrated commitment to student mentorship. Presentation of an active professional development / scholarly activity agenda with a demonstrated record of interdisciplinary study and work.
