The Opportunity:

Embry-Riddle is now hiring a Project Global Officer (GO) Coordinator at the Daytona Beach campus. This position is grant funded, as part of the Defense Language and National Security Education Office (DLNSEO) grant, with the purpose of administering the recruitment, admission, and engagement of ROTC students into summer 2023 intensive Chinese and Arabic language acquisition programs. The work could include occasional limited work on weekends. There will be one required trip to San Diego, California November 3 through November 5, 2022. While this is a temporary 29 hour per week part time position without benefits, which is not to exceed August 31, 2023, there is potential that the position could be renewed for additional years of funding.

General Duties:
  • Work with the Project GO Primary Investigator, ERAU’s International Programs Manager of Communication & Assessment, and the Project GO Language Professors in developing and implementing marketing and advertising materials for Project GO including a website and social media for prospective students.
  • Assist the Project GO Primary Investigator as a back-up liaison with the in-country partners (NKNU and AmidEast) in Taiwan and Jordan to negotiate and manage the programs’ MOUs.
  • Advise the applicants/students in the areas of immigration to Taiwan and Jordan
  • Oversee the processing of student applications and manage students’ admission to ERAU.
  • Interact with ROTC partners in developing pipelines of students into the program
  • Assist the Project GO Primary Investigator in hiring and supervising the adjunct faculty including ensuring the faculty can be credentialed to teach at ERAU and meet SACS accrediting standards through a Foreign Credential Evaluation.
  • Work with the ERAU registrar to ensure that the courses are on the summer schedule and the participants are registered for the correct courses.
  • Recruit ROTC officers and Language Staff to serve on the review panels
  • Coordinate pre and post program assessments
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
