The Department of Studies in Justice, Culture & Social Change invites applications for a tenure track faculty position in Criminology at the rank of assistant professor to begin Fall 2023. The position requires teaching undergraduate courses (current teaching load is 5 classes [~16 credits] per academic year), advising undergraduate students who are majoring in our department’s programs, participating in research/scholarly activities and maintaining an active research agenda, and providing service to the department, college, campus, discipline, and/or to the local community. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to both the Criminology major and Sociology major.

Required qualifications include: a Ph.D. (by June 30, 2023, from an accredited institution) in Criminology, Criminal Justice, Justice Studies, or Sociology; teaching experience and ability to teach in the core curricula of Criminology (Introduction to Criminology and/or Criminological Theory and/or Research Methods and/or Statistics); and evidence of an active research agenda.
