Position Information

Position Title Assistant Director of Compliance/ NIL Coordinator Overview
Assist with the day-to-day operations of the athletic compliance office and coordinate NIL activities, education, and disclosure compliance. Essential Duties:
  • Serve as an additional liaison with the offices of Admission and Financial Aid, the Registrar, Bursar, Global Education, and Academic Services. Coordinate the academic certification process for continuing student-athletes with Academic Services. Coordinate and develop strategies to maximize the use of SAF, SAOF and Academic Enhancement funds. Coordinate the international tax reporting process with the Athletic business office and assist with education and programming to facilitate tax reporting and filing. Join the Associate AD on all BIG EAST, Hockey East, and NCAA conference calls and attend BIG EAST, Hockey East, and NCAA meetings. Assist the Associate AD with all NCAA reporting, including, but not limited to APR and GSR reporting, NCAA violation self-reporting, NCAA Sport Sponsorship and Demographic reporting, and NCAA Sexual Violence Prevention reporting.
  • Manage the department’s AdvantEdge program in conjunction with Opendorse. Develop a comprehensive NIL education program for student-athletes to help them enhance their brand and maximize their NIL opportunities. Act as the liaison with Coast to Coast promotional Products as they manage the Friar Collective. Develop a comprehensive educational program for alumni, fans, donors, and all others interested in supporting and engaging in NIL activities with our student-athletes. Create a monthly NIL social media blast to educate student-athletes, fans, donors, and alums on recent developments related to NIL locally, regionally, and nationally. Seve as the liaison with the General Counsel to maintain the Providence College NIL policy and secure proper licensing of intellectual property for NIL activities. Serve as a liaison with Opendorse to maximize the NIL opportunities for our student-athletes.
  • Assist in the day-to-day administrative duties of Athletic compliance, including, but not limited to: monitor CARA reporting via Teamworks, manage the NCAA Compliance Assistant (CA) database for roster management, eligibility certification, NCAA Squad List generation, APR reporting, GSR reporting, and NCAA Sport Sponsorship and Demographic reporting. Monitor and manage ARMS recruiting software and NCAA Eligibility Center certification for incoming student-athletes. Manage all internal processes related to Office Visits, including approval, host money, and meal card issuance and post-visit documentation. Manage the National Letter of Intent ( NLI ) program, including NLI approval, issuance, and validation within the NLI portal.
  • Assist with rules interpretations and coordinate and develop educational material for student-athletes, coaches, staff members, and external constituents. Create education materials and build monthly agenda for coach meetings. Create monthly education materials for coaches and staff regarding pertinent and timely NCAA rule reminders. Develop and facilitate an annual recruiting educational program for coaches to replace the previous requirement of the NCAA Recruiting Exam.

Education and Experience Required
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution required. Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of experience working in college athletic compliance (may include internships and/or graduate assistant positions) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and analytically skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the NCAA, the legislative process, and its policies and procedures.
  • Ability to organize, multi-task, and maintain confidentiality and integrity in daily work.
