Job Description:

DEPARTMENT: Dolan School of Business

BASIC FUNCTION: Collaborates with Associate Dean and entire Dolan office staff to ensure effective day-to-day operations. Assists with projects and programming, particularly as related to faculty support. Provides general office support for faculty in Dolan.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL NEEDED: Strong verbal and written communication skills are required, as well as exemplary interpersonal skills, detail orientation, and organizational skills. Computer proficiency is essential, as is the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree preferred; High School diploma required.

EXPERIENCE: A minimum of 3-5 years of office experience is required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Works with data management systems on campus, including Workday, Banner, Digital Measures, Blackboard, Docfinity, Handshake, Engage, among others

2. Provides general office support for faculty and departments. This involves:
  • Processing purchase requisitions, check requests, and other finance forms for faculty

  • Preparing contracts for adjunct faculty members in all Dolan departments

  • Overseeing logistics of Dolan tutors

  • Helping to manage student clubs and other department activities as they plan and execute events

  • Partnering with the Assistant to the Dean and other Dolan staff to meet the needs of faculty and students

​3. Provides general office support for Associate Dean. This involves:
  • Managing data and data base applications for AACSB reporting requirements

  • Supporting work of the Dolan Research Committee, Dolan Teaching Innovation Committee and CIAC

  • Overseeing collection and distribution of materials for faculty tenure and promotion process

  • Maintaining database of syllabi, along with other record keeping

4. Participates in the professional development of the Dolan School. This involves:
  • Promoting an image of efficiency and courtesy throughout the University consistent with the Dolan School’s mission

  • Participating in staff meetings as requested; maintaining and improving systems and activities to meet AACSB accreditation requirements

5. Provides program assistance for the Dolan Graduate and Undergraduate Programs as needed.

6. Promotes safe and secure working conditions. This involves:
  • Promoting the proper utilization of equipment and materials

  • Notifying supervisor immediately of any unsafe working conditions

7. Performs other related duties as requested.
