First, a bit about the Office of Registrar

The purpose of the Office of the Registrar is to help students succeed by improving the quality of their educational experience. This purpose is accomplished by meeting the office’s mission of ensuring the accuracy and integrity of university records and providing excellent academic and curriculum services to students, faculty, staff, and alumni. The Office of the Registrar is responsible for issuing official transcripts, enrollment verifications and diplomas, processing changes to student academic records, overseeing registration each semester, updating curriculum programs, and facilitating the faculty governance process on campus.

About the Position

The Business Analyst Professional serves a key role in the Office of the Registrar by gathering, documenting, and analyzing business processes and coordinating with various teams toward implementing projects for the office.

The scope of responsibilities includes planning, implementing, and researching solutions for projects and providing project plans and timelines for such projects. The position also identifies possible testing scenarios, plans, and test cases for projects, upgrades, and solutions. Additionally, the Business Analyst Professional performs outreach to the UGA campus by providing training materials and presentations to campus users regarding projects, upgrades, and solutions.
