Assistant Professor of Clinical X - Division of Hospital Medicine

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The University of California, Davis, School of Medicine, Division of Hospital Medicine is recruiting for a one full-time academic position at the Assistant Professor level in the Clinical Internal Medicine (ClinX) series. Appointee to the ClinX series is required to teach, participate in University service, is actively involved in research and scholarly works, and provide direct patient care and work collaboratively with a diverse group of hospitalists in the inpatient clinical setting. This position is reserved for applicants with experience teaching first and second year medical students, at the director level, such as course director or instructor-of-record (IOR) and who are actively working on securing grant-based research. Hospital Medicine Faculty responsibilities include inpatient clinical care, both with and without housestaff; teaching medical students, residents, and fellows; university/public service; and regular attendance and participation at scheduled meetings and CME activities.

This recruitment is conducted at the assistant rank. The resulting hire will be at the assistant rank, regardless of the proposed appointee's qualifications.

QUALIFICATIONS

Basic qualifications (required at time of application)

MD or DO degree

Additional qualifications (required at time of start)

Board Certified in Internal Medicine, and be eligible for medical licensure in the State of California.
