Summary

The Section of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine is seeking a responsible, organized, and competent Clinical Operations Manager to lead the daily clinical activities of the section. This position will oversee clinical operations for the section's McNair Clinics, Harris Health group, and BSLMC/PFW ICU teams. This role will serve as a leader of culture change, quality improvement, and financial and operational maximization by developing data-driven metrics for success. This role will be expected to identify and resolve issues independently and form positive and collaborative relationships.

Job Duties
  • Oversee the daily clinical operations for the section's McNair Baylor Medicine Clinics together with physician leadership and section administration.
  • Ensure efficient operations for the section's BSLMC, PFW, and HHS operations.
  • Develop, prepare, and interpret program data to provide actionable reports for physician leadership and section administration.
  • Manage employees at multiple pavilions to include defining work responsibilities and prioritization, setting performance development plans and goals, and conducting annual performance evaluations.
  • Monitor budgets, financial/operational data related to all clinical programs.
  • Manage supplemental pay requests, reimbursements, supply requests, and other program expenses.
  • Implement process improvement goals that support the clinical enterprise.
  • Work with BCM central teams to troubleshoot billing and patient issues.
  • Manage the clinical roster to ensure effective utilization against approved staffing plans. Responsible for physician scheduling and schedule management using QGenda, Amion, and EPIC.
  • Identify business and clinical process improvement opportunities and lead process improvement projects.
  • Assist with program development, network integrity, referral capture, and marketing initiatives required for successful growth of the clinical practice.
  • Implement accountability measures and timelines to meet clinical goals.
  • Organize and prepare decision support data and reports for leadership review.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Four years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Previous clinical operations (inpatient or outpatient), data analysis, budgets, and MS Excel experience.
