Overview: The Degree Audit Specialist coordinates the content management and accuracy for the University’s Degree Audits. This position will support the implementation and ongoing use of new degree audit software, Stellic. The Degree Audit Specialist will remain current and research any curriculum changes for all degrees as it relates to the degree audit system. This position will also evaluate/articulate study away and transfer credit. This position will work closely with and support the Associate Registrar for Records and Curriculum Management. Responsibilities:
  • Assist in managing content for the degree audit system and support the implementation of new software, Stellic
  • Create and review degree audits for accuracy, especially for students nearing graduation
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with academic leadership and faculty. This includes, but is not limited to, representing the Registrar at meetings, and serving on work groups focused on curriculum and technologies to support degree completion
  • Work collaboratively with Registrar's staff, University colleagues and vendor to troubleshoot matters related to degree audit software
  • Develop and implement training for technologies to support and track degree completion.
  • Evaluate/articulate study away and transfer credit
  • Collaborate with staff to identify areas for process improvement, propose recommendations for changes, and implement changes
  • Set up Colleague, Self-Service, Stellic and any other appropriate system for each catalog year, for degree audits and changes to academic policy
  • Serve as alternate lead for Commencement related activities
  • Support the yearly catalog project
  • Other duties as assigned
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required
Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of experience in a registrar or enrollment services position
  • Knowledge of information technology, and ability to learn new software programs and support existing college-supported software such as Colleague
  • Knowledge and understanding of degree requirements
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple activities and tasks
  • Ability to communicate well both in written and oral form. This includes excellent spelling, grammar, and editing skills
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail
  • Ability to work well with minimal supervision in a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to write and maintain accurate documents; organize and update files
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations and a commitment to diversity and inclusion
