Job Description:

The University of Florida School of PA Studies invites applications for a full-time, non-tenured faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor/Associate Professor. This position as a core faculty member has a primary assignment to teaching and administration in the didactic phase, while participating in team based teaching across the curriculum. The UF School of PA Studies is located in Gainesville, Florida and is physically and academically housed within the College of Medicine. The UF School of PA Studies matriculates 60 students per cohort and has a long history of educating outstanding clinicians and leaders in healthcare. We seek a dynamic individual interested in joining an innovative, dedicated, and collaborative team as a core faculty member of the UF School of PA Studies.

The PA faculty member will work closely with all PA faculty, staff and students. This position will be responsible for teaching and advising PA students and will be involved in the planning and delivery of CME events and experiential learning activities.. Additional responsibilities include: student assessment, remediation, scholarship, service, and clinical practice. All faculty collaboratively participate in admissions, strategic planning, curriculum development, and continuous review and evaluation of the curriculum in support of accreditation standards.

Expected Salary:

$105,000 - $115,000

Minimum Requirements:

Master’s degree from an ARC-PA accredited PA program (or related medical discipline, i.e., MD or DO) is required. Current certification by the NCCPA and FL State licensure (or eligibility for licensure) is required. If applicant is not a current Florida resident, a valid license in the state of current residence is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Doctoral degree is preferred. Preference will be given to candidates with a minimum of 3-years’ experience as a full-time clinician and demonstrated effective teaching experience in the classroom and/or clinical setting. Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills and a strong interest in delivering an experiential, student-focused curriculum.
