The Department of Biology at New Mexico State University invites applications for an Ecologist at the Assistant Professor level (9 month, tenure track, starting August 2023). Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Ecology, Biology, or a related field, a strong track record of research productivity, a demonstrated commitment to undergraduate and graduate education, and a minimum of one year of postdoctoral or equivalent experience. The successful candidate will be expected to develop an externally-funded research program and teach courses in ecology and related areas at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Applicants from any area of ecology will be considered. However, we are especially interested in research focused on responses of ecological systems to global change, work at or above the population level, and projects involving local/regional systems.
