Location
Our West Campus is located at 2400 Gillionville Road, Albany, GA 31707. Our East Campus is located at 504 College Drive, Albany, GA 31705. The Human Resources office for both campuses is located on the West Campus in Building K, Suite 111.
Job Summary
Excellence in research and teaching at the undergraduate level is expected. This is a tenure track position.
Responsibilities
Excellence in research and teaching at the undergraduate level is expected.
The ideal candidate will be able to teach courses in Chemistry as well as selected courses in other complementary disciplines.
Teaching duties may include upper division undergraduate lectures and laboratory courses.
Participation in service to the department, college and university is also expected.
The successful candidate will be expected to write grants to develop active research programs in the department.
The candidate must demonstrate awareness and experience understanding the needs of a student population with differeces in age, cultural background, ethnicity, primary language and academic preparation through inclusive course materials, teaching strategies and advisement.
Required Qualifications
Education
Ph.D In Chemistry or equivalent is required
Other Required Qualifications
Applicants should have awareness of and sensitivity to educational goals of a multicultural population as might have been gained in cross-cultural study, training, teaching and other comparable experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Education
Ph. D Inorganic Chemistry or Physical Chemistry and postdoctoral experience preferred
Experience
A strong record of teaching, particularly with various populations, is desired.
Proposed Salary
Salary range is from $45,000 to $57,000
