Full-time faculty position teaching in the theory, lab, and clinical settings for the Respiratory Therapy Program, a CoARC accredited program. Duties include teaching assigned courses and developing/maintaining course content and appropriate instructional materials for the courses assigned. Instructor will work with the Dean of Health Sciences, the Program Director, and the Director of Clinical Education to meet program accreditation requirements and provide input into program policies and curriculum issues. The instructor will serve as a member of the Respiratory Therapy program Advisory Committee and discharge the duties and responsibilities of a Monroe County Community College faculty member as outlined by the faculty contract. As an integral member of the Division, individual is expected to develop effective collegial relationships, work closely with students and local employers, and promote Division programs and the College in general. Associate or related degree in respiratory care required. Bachelor degree in any area required from an academic institution accredited by a regional or national accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Valid, unencumbered RRT license in Michigan required; Ohio license desirable. Five years of clinical experience and two years of teaching experience in an accredited respiratory care program, either as an appointed faculty member or as a clinical preceptor.
