Purpose of Position
The purpose of this new position is to provide planning, implementation, delivery and evaluation of a comprehensive student wellness program in coordination with the offices of Health Services and Counseling Services within the Division of Student Affairs. Primary Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities for the inaugural director will focus on educating and supporting students on the 8 dimensions of wellness (social, emotional, financial, spiritual, occupational, intellectual, physical, and environmental) through outreach events, programs, campaigns, support, and prevention services. The director will oversee 2 administrative staff members as well as student leaders. The director will design and implement programs and curriculum, create awareness of wellness issues, enhance student motivation, aid student retention, and provide tools to students that help them adapt and maintain a healthy lifestyle. The position will collaborate with many other departments (ie. Counseling, Health, Center for Student Inclusiveness, University Wellness, Campus Rec, Academics, Athletics, Greek Life, Housing) on wellness events, projects, and assessments to support the student body and overall campus environment. The director must demonstrate an understanding of contemporary best practices and research in wellness. The director must be energetic, enthusiastic, team-oriented, a veteran programmer, personable, and relatable to all student populations. This position supports DEI initiatives through a wellness lens, and the director must have an understanding of the needs of URM /minoritized/historically excluded students. Qualifications
Experience writing and managing grants preferred.

- Minimum Master’s degree with 2 years related experience
- Student programming experience
- Knowledge of contemporary best practices/research/theory in student wellness
- Basic computer skills and knowledge
- Data analysis skills
- Marketing/promotional skills
- Public speaking skills
- Public relations skills
- Leadership skills
- Working knowledge of general age-related health parameters/screenings
- Knowledge of conditions commonly seen in college students
