Job Description

This position will provide a high level of administrative support to the Chair of Radiation Oncology and relieve them of general and routine matters, most often involving highly confidential and/or sensitive materials and situations. This position will require organizing, coordinating, and performing highly responsible administrative duties.

Responsible for executing, with minimal direction, administrative duties at the highest level for Department Chair and division directors. Most often involving highly confidential and/or sensitive materials and situations. Manages multiple competing priorities and deadlines independently and in an expeditious manner.

Manages Department Chair and division director's calendar and schedule, while preserving time in the calendar for strategic planning as needed. Handles all sensitive and time-critical information in an expeditious and completely confidential manner. Prepares meeting agendas. Prepares final draft of materials.

Manages all credentialing for new providers and reappointments. Collect and compile all required license, certifies for credentialed providers. Ensures practice addresses are current with hospital and UP. Process applications for appointment and reappointment of privileges to outside facilities. Coordinate completion of bi-annual Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluations (OPPE) and Focused Professional Practice Evaluations (FPPE). Coordinates annual faculty reviews with Chairman.

Assist faculty members with annual CME requirements and reporting to ensure compliance with annual Missouri licensure requirements as well as hospital requirements for licensing. May complete unit/department-specific duties and expectations as outlined in department documents.

Prepare correspondence, reports, and other materials from rough drafts or dictation and minutes. Compose letters involving routine matters, acknowledgments, and other subjects. Assist with special projects as assigned by the Chair. May act as the liaison between the office and others, planning and preparing materials. Assist with compiling information and project future needs.

Maintains a broad organization perception to effectively carry out the internal and external relationships of the office. Serves as the first point of contact to the front office and represents the front office in positive and professional manager.


Salary Range: $17.43 - $32.21 Hourly

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
