Job Title Assistant Professor of Finance Rank Assistant Professor Tenure Information Tenure Track Job Description
The Department of Finance ( https://business.providence.edu/finance/ ) in the School of Business at Providence College is seeking a full-time, tenure-track faculty member in the areas of business analytics and operations management at the assistant professor rank commencing August 1, 2023. As our student body grows increasingly diverse, experience and commitment to teaching and mentoring students from a range of economic, social, and cultural backgrounds is preferred. The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in business analysis, analytical decision making, and operations management. Candidates with an inclination towards data analytics are highly encouraged to apply. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience.

Housed in the newly built Arthur F. and Patricia Ryan Center for Business Studies, the School of Business ( https://business.providence.edu/ ) is an AACSB -accredited, fast-growing, innovative institution of higher learning committed to faculty and student excellence. The ideal candidate for this position will be committed to research, teaching, and service, and must demonstrate promise of high-quality future scholarly activity, excellence in teaching, and willingness to engage in interaction with faculty colleagues, students, and external constituents. A successful candidate will be expected to conduct scholarly research in his/her area of concentration consistent with the standards of AACSB and to engage in service activities for the School and the College. Education and Experience Required
A Ph.D. or D.B.A. in statistics, business/data analytics, operations management, and operations research or a closely related field, preferably from an AACSB -accredited institution, is required. ABDs with anticipated completion at the time of appointment will also be considered.
