Job Summary

The University of Colorado Boulder encourages applications for a DEI Program and Assessment Manager! This Manager is responsible for supporting program and assessment functions for the Office of the Senior Vice Chancellor for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (SVC-DEI) and for providing expertise in the areas of diversity in higher education, research, and assessment to sponsored program grants (i.e., DEI Impact Grants). The main duties of this role will be to coordinate all functions associated with the DEI Impact Grants program (i.e., workshops and training, proposal review, program assessment, generating evaluative reports), collaborate with the Office's DEI Consultants, and support DEI project assessment. They will assist campus colleagues in operationalizing strategic goals and evaluating impact in support of the Chancellor's Strategic Priorities, as warranted.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
  • Program development, support, and organization for a seed grant program on campus (i.e., DEI Impact Grants) designed to provide evidence of impact and advance diversity, equity, and inclusion with an intersectional, social justice approach; this includes duties such as maintaining a robust database, crafting a proposal review process, training proposal reviewers, marketing and communicating the program, data organization, management, and analysis.
  • Project development, assessment, and evaluation. As directed by the SVC-DEI, advise on an ad hoc basis with campus units and partners in operationalizing strategic goals for diversity, equity, and inclusion (i.e., assessment plan creation, data collection and analysis, communication of results).
  • Research and benchmark diversity and equity in higher education (i.e., creating annotated bibliographies, presentations, models, networking with colleagues at other universities).
  • Relationship building and developing inter-office collaborations; representing the Office of the SVC-DEI in conversations pertaining to data and assessment (i.e., standing meetings, communications), with and for partners (i.e., Institutional Research, Student Affairs assessment, etc).
  • Facilitating professional development opportunities for the Office of the SVC-DEI and the campus (in consultation with colleagues) pertaining to assessment and equity in higher education (i.e., workshops and presentations, curate web resources).
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Annual Salary Range is: $70,000-$90,000.

What We Require
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject area and three (3) or more years of related work experience. Note: Equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute.
  • At least one year of experience working with outcomes-based assessment.
What You Will Need
  • Proven success as a collaborator and relationship builder, with strong interpersonal skills and ability to build coalitions and collaborative working relationships with a broad range of diverse individuals and groups, including senior executives, to achieve results.
  • Proven knowledge of and success in identifying promising practices for advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion, and command of modern DEI concepts and application to several topics in higher education (i.e., student success, inclusive talent acquisition, community building).
  • Proven analytical skills and ability to provide oversight for assessments related to the Impact Grant Program.
  • Advising, supporting, and guiding assessment plans and outcomes.
  • Proficient in assessment approaches and/or program evaluation.
  • Ability to establish relationships with diverse decision makers across campus in multiple roles and levels.
  • Self-motivated with organizational and analytical skills.
What We Would Like You To Have
  • 3 or more years of working with outcomes-based assessment within social justice programs and initiatives.
  • Experience in higher education.
  • Master's or terminal degree.
