Washburn University's Center for Student Success and Retention invites applications for a Coordinator of Prior Learning and Testing/Student Success Lecturer to begin on October 3, 2022. This is a 12-month, non-tenure track position.

Each selected candidate will demonstrate commitment to pursuing teaching excellence at Washburn University, including a dedication to developing inclusive teaching practices that engage students from diverse backgrounds.

Required Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree from an accredited University.
  • Demonstrated commitment to developing inclusive teaching practices that engage students from diverse backgrounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in administering standardized tests.
  • Experience in assessing prior learning gained through work and life experience for university credit.
  • Experience advising nontraditionally aged students regarding educational opportunities.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement tools for assessing prior learning.
  • Advise prospective and enrolled students regarding opportunities for credit for prior learning.
  • Schedule and administer placement tests.
  • Proctor examinations for Washburn students and community residents.
  • Serve as test center supervisor for national standardized tests.
  • Teach in Washburn's nationally recognized First-Year Experience program.
