Position Overview

Starting Salary Range is $34,632 -$38,963. The initial salary offer is commensurate with education and related work experience.

The Lab Assistant provides coordination and management of lab space, time allocation, supplies, students, and faculty in the Nursing Skills labs and Simulation Center. The Lab Assistant provides administrative/secretarial assistance to the faculty for Nursing lab spaces. In addition, the Lab Assistant is responsible for the maintenance of lab supplies and inventory necessary for the ongoing lab experiences for Nursing students. The lab is utilized by Workforce Development and is rented by outside affiliation agreements which the Lab Assistant also coordinates. This position has no teaching responsibilities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordination of lab spaces, maintenance of supplies, materials, and inventory.
  • Provide faculty assistance for lab set up and break down.
  • Maintain the clinical lab equipment.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

  • The lab is currently available to all Nursing and Allied Health students.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Minimum Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)
  • Must provide excellent customer service and be a team player
  • Must demonstrate proficient computer skills (i.e., Microsoft Office programs and other software products used by the College)
  • Must be available to work Monday - Thursday 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and Friday 7:30 a.m. - Noon; weekend and evening scheduling may be necessary to accommodate student needs
