The Biology and Chemistry Department at Morehead State University is accepting applications for a full-time position as an Assistant Professor, Biomedical Sciences (Craft). The anticipated start date is 08/07/2023.

RESPONSIBILITIES: We seek a biologist, specialization open, who can obtain external funding and develop a productive research program that includes undergraduates and high-school juniors and seniors involved in MSU’s dual-credit college Craft Academy for Excellence in Science and Mathematics. Teaching duties will include a Course-based Undergraduate Research Experience (CURE) for Craft Academy students and Human Anatomy and Physiology lecture and laboratory. Other teaching duties may include introductory courses in Biological and Biomedical Sciences and/or an upper division course in their area of expertise.

REQUIREMENTS: Earned Ph.D. in Biology, Biomedical Science, or closely-related field. Evidence of an ongoing research agenda.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Post-doctoral experience. Teaching experience in higher education. Student research mentoring.
