Vice President for Admission and Financial Aid

Colby-Sawyer College seeks a strategic, innovative, and data-savvy leader to serve as its next Vice President for Admission and Financial Aid. The Vice President will benefit greatly from the College’s warm and collaborative campus culture, and clearly articulated strategic plan. The Vice President will have the opportunity to help shape the strategic direction of Colby-Sawyer as a whole and to provide important leadership to the enrollment operation. In addition to providing strategic direction, organizational leadership, and professional mentorship to the highly dedicated staff within the Offices of Admissions and Financial Aid, the Vice President will report to President Sue Stuebner and serve as a key member of her senior team and be an engaged and visible campus leader.

With a current total enrollment of close to 1000 students, Colby-Sawyer is a dynamic and innovative liberal arts and sciences college located in the scenic Lake Sunapee Region of central New Hampshire. During their college careers, 100 percent of Colby-Sawyer students participate in one or more internships in their fields of study. Colby-Sawyer offers 27 majors and 27 minors, along with several pre-professional tracks of study.

In 2019 Colby- Sawyer and Dartmouth Health, a level one trauma center, the state’s only academic medical center announced an enhanced partnership, expanding on their existing program, exploring additional areas of health science education and training. Currently, Colby-Sawyer graduates 40 to 60 nursing undergraduates a year, 80 percent of whom accept positions in the Dartmouth Health system. Under the enhanced partnership arrangement, the College aims to increase the number of undergraduate nurses to 100-150 per cohort over the span of five to seven years. The College has expanded into an associate of health sciences degree, designed for Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health employees, as well as programs in addiction studies, medical laboratory science, social work, an accelerated BSN program, a respiratory therapy bachelor’s completion program, new focus areas for the MSN program, and, in the future, potential programs for physician assistants, a doctorate of nursing practice and a master’s in physical therapy or occupational therapy.

The new Vice President for Admission and Financial Aid will be pleased to discover a strong sense of positive momentum both on the senior leadership team and across the campus as a whole. The Vice President’s primary charge will be to implement a forward-looking strategic enrollment plan for the College, supporting the division’s staff in executing it by providing mentorship, resources, and hands-on assistance as required.
