The Latin American, Latino, and Caribbean Studies Department at Dartmouth College (http://lalacs.dartmouth.edu/) invites applications fora full-time tenured appointment at the rank of Associate or Full Professor in Latin American Studies to begin Fall 2023. We are particularly interested in applicants whose work engages the social sciences, especially History, Sociology, Anthropology, Geography, or Environmental Studies. We seek a colleague with a demonstrated record of achievement who is committed to creative scholarship and teaching and will complement and augment the department's interdisciplinary strengths. The position will reside in our interdisciplinary department but will support affiliations to relevant disciplines and programs of study on our campus.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates should have a proven track‐record of outstanding teaching and scholarship in the field, and the potential for broader forms of institutional and administrative leadership. A Ph.D. in a relevant field of study is required, such as History, Sociology, Anthropology, Geography, Environmental Studies, or a related discipline. Responsibilities include research and classroom instruction.
