Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas is seeking a new Assistant Vice President for Budgeting and Planning (AVP) to join Vice President for Finance and Administration Lenora Chapman’s finance team. Reporting directly to Vice President Chapman, the AVP will be responsible for providing effective leadership and direction over all policies, practices, and procedures related to the development and management of the University’s multiyear financial plan, annual operating and capital budgets, and all financial analyses.

The new Assistant Vice President will join the University at an exciting time. The University has recently completed, and is implementing, a Five-Year Tactical Plan that is crucial enabling Southwestern University to realize its visionary potential as a distinctive liberal arts institution focused on serving students, faculty, and alumni as well as its ever- widening communities. The new AVP, who will serve as a strategic partner with the Vice President for Finance and Administration (VPFA) and various campus leaders, including the President’s senior staff, will play a critical role in supporting the leadership’s efforts to realize the goals of the Plan.

The ideal candidate will have proven financial analysis and modelling skills and technological savvy. They will be a strategic thinker who is able to integrate complex operational and financial considerations to support the decisions of senior leadership and someone who can convey complex financial information to a wide range of audiences.  Southwestern University has retained the services of Isaacson, Miller, to assist in conducting this important search.
