Starting Salary: $ 16.66 +

Compensation offers are evaluated based on a combination of education, experience, qualifications, and other pertinent factors such as internal equity.

Reports To: Assistant Vice President, Procurement and Operations

Job Summary

The coordinator, mail services assists in the daily planning and organization of campus mail operations.

Essential Job Functions and Performance Indicators

The intent of this job description is to provide a representation of the types of duties and level of responsibility that will be required of positions given this title. Job Responsibilities and Execution
  • Assists in the management of mail service operations, including supporting daily tasks such as shipping and receiving, conflict resolution, and campus deliveries
  • Receives, sorts, and distributes student and University mail
  • Assists in the management of student locker storage system, University package tracking system, and postage meter system
  • Sorts and processes outgoing mail and packages
  • Complies with U.S. Postal Service regulations

  • Supports the mission of the University and serves as an ambassador of the Q2 culture of service excellence
  • Models, supports, and holds others accountable to the University’s values – integrity, dedication, excellence, creativity, and teamwork
  • Provides excellent customer service to all students, faculty, and staff
Communication, Teamwork, and Collaboration
  • Maintains regular communication and coordination with outside mail companies (FedEx, USPS, UPS, Amazon, etc.)
  • Interfaces with University staff to ensure accurate distribution of mail and packages
  • Works with mail services team to ensure daily tasks are completed
Job may require other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications – An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered. Additional requirements may be designated by position.
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • A minimum of one year of related experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities – May be representative, but not all inclusive, of the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform this job competently.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to operate small cargo vehicles, as applicable
