Compensation and Benefits

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $3,897 to $4,100 per month

Full CSU Classification Salary Range: $3,440 to $5,639 per month

This is a full-time, probationary, non-exempt position.

This position works out of the Visalia Office for the Fresno State South Valley Campus.

This position is not eligible for remote work pursuant to Fresno State's remote work guidelines and the CSU policy requiring that all work be performed within the State of California.

The CSU system provides a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, dental and vision plans, membership in the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS), sick and vacation time, and 14 paid holidays a year. Job Summary

Under the general supervision of the Executive Director, the individual will provide administrative and clerical support to the Executive Director and Administrative Analyst/Specialist (AAS) of the Fresno State South Valley Campus (FSSVC). The successful individual will assist the Executive Director and AAS to ensure that all University and FSSVC requirements and deadlines are accurate and promptly met. This position requires considerable discretion and judgment in order to effectively coordinate and support all functions related to delivery of undergraduate academic programs, commuter course offerings, events, activities and services. The individual will serve as the site coordinator.

Key Qualifications
  • Serve as a resource to students, staff and the community in responding to inquiries and providing detailed information concerning campus news and events.
  • Organizational and time management skills with attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Ability to troubleshoot most office administration problems and respond to all inquiries and requests related to work area.
  • Ability to perform business math, analyze data, and make accurate projections requiring some inference.
  • Ability to work with frequent interruptions while juggling multiple assignments and accept on-going changes (operational/personnel) adjust priorities and be responsive to short notice requests and deadlines.
  • Effectively compose correspondence and standard reports and create, organize, and maintain accurate technical, complex, and confidential records and files.

Education and Experience
  • High school dipolma or GED equivalent

  • Four (4) years of progressively responsible general administrative or office experience which includes full functional knowledge of and skills in standard administrative office procedures, practices and equipment.

The Fresno State South Valley Campus (FSSVC) is dedicated to strengthening the communities of the South Valley by providing accessible and affordable high-quality education and lifelong learning experiences to its residents. An important goal of the FSSVC is to support highly motivated students who do not have the means or the time to relocate or commute to the main campus to pursue undergraduate and graduate degrees.
