The Master of Science in Physician Assistant Science program in the Department of Clinical and Diagnostic Sciences at Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan invites applications for a Professor of Practice position, to begin as soon as August 27, 2022. This is an exceptional growth opportunity to join a genuinely supportive faculty team with excellent resources enjoying a meaningful balance of teaching, practice, service, leadership, and research. This position may be converted to a tenure track faculty position in the future. Candidates with experience developing relationships with clinical partners for mutual goals are particularly encouraged to apply.

Guided by the Program Director: the Academic Coordinator shall work with the Medical Director on administration, evaluation, assessment, and implementation of the program didactic curriculum; the Clinical Coordinator will lead site recruitment, administration, evaluation, assessment, and implementation of clinical experiences; all serving to meet Oakland University and ARC-PA Standards.

Teaching responsibilities shall include lecturing, small group facilitation, mentoring and advising of students. In professional service, faculty members provide distinct energies to our school, university, and communities of practice, including student recruitment and retention activities.

Requirements include:
  1. A minimum of three years' experience as a physician assistant
  2. Master's degree in PA studies
  3. Eligibility for licensure, or licensure, in Michigan as a PA
  4. Current NCCPA Certification
