The basics of this position:

Provide basic skills instruction in the subject areas of reading, math and language.

What you'll do:
  • The instructor will provide instruction in the subject areas of reading, math and language. The instruction in each subject will based upon required standardized testing which identifies skills to remediate. After sufficient remediation, the student is tested to measure progress.
Education, experience, and other requirements:

Applicant must posses a BA or BS.
Applicant must apply for and become certified by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education in the area of Adult Education and Literacy. This requires:
• Employment by this program.
• Attendance at two one day workshops presented by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
• Passing a Department of Elementary and Secondary Education required criminal background check.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience in Adult Education and Literacy or similar experience in basic skills instruction.
