Student Success Administrative Coordinator



Position Primary Purpose and General Duties:

The Student Success Administrative Coordinator is a highly visible on-campus position serving as the administrative coordinator for the Office of Student Success. This position will have interactions with the highest university/state, public/private officials, and with national organizations. As such, maintaining collegial relationships with these constituencies is essential. This position will assist with, and at times lead the planning and facilitation of all signature events sponsored by the Office of Student Success, including, but not limited to, Student Success Send-Off, Commencement, Discovery Days, Welcome Days, and Preview Days. The Student Success Administrative Coordinator provides leadership, applies knowledge and skills, promotes efficiency, and expedites the flow of information to, from, and through the Office of Student Success by coordinating, performing, and managing a wide variety of assignments and projects essential to the School’s mission such as: providing administrative support for student due process; overseeing areas of spending related to the Office of Student Success; serving as the liaison between the Registrar’s Office and the School of Social Work for course scheduling; and managing the internal School of Social Work scholarship process. The Student Success Administrative Coordinator reports to the Director of Student Success.

Minimum Hiring Standards:

Bachelor’s degree in social work, social sciences, student personnel, college counseling, or related field. Crucial to this role is the ability to interact with internal and external clientele at all times, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, levels in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of professionalism, while working according to the needs of the organization. Expert level written and verbal communication skills, strong customer service orientation, and attention to detail while meeting concurrent deadlines. Must possess meeting and event planning skills. Must possess advanced working knowledge of computer technology including: Blackboard, Word, Excel, Microsoft Internet Explorer, Publisher, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat Professional, Google and Google Applications and teleconferencing and video conferencing equipment. A competent attitude and presentation of self, and the utmost regard for confidentiality and discretion are expected in all interactions. Ability to work in a diverse environment is required.

Preferred Hiring Standards:

Experience in executive level administrative support in a university setting.



Salary Range: 43,000 - 48,000
