Minimum Education/Training/Experience
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : High School Diploma and (2)+ years experience and exemplary performance in a role performing similar duties, or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. Preferred Education/Training/Experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS : Associate degree or post-secondary certification and (3) years’ experience and exemplary performance in a role performing similar duties, preferably in a maintenance or contract services environment. Minimum Knowledge & Skills
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS :
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and accurate with data entry
  • Self-directed, self-starter, organizes own work, sets priorities, and meets critical deadlines
  • Intermediate to advanced technology skills including various computer, tablet, phone applications, copiers, scanners, and printers
  • Complex or technical office practices and procedures; record keeping practices
  • Interpersonal skills as related to interaction with students, coworkers, supervisor, the public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.
Preferred Knowledge & Skills
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS :
  • Knowledge and experience working with Computerized Maintenance Management Software ( CMMS )
  • Compiling and summarizing information and data, and preparing periodic or special reports
  • Knowledge and experience in a facilities maintenance or construction environment

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
  • Receive and review new work order requests and distribute assignments to Facilities Technicians based on trade specialty, workload, and customer needs.
  • Create, modify, and maintain comprehensive preventive and scheduled maintenance work priorities and calendars
  • Ensure exceptional performance and service by continually administering the work order process and communicating with customers, contractors, and staff, from initial contact to completion
  • Verify and maintain necessary work order data and documentation
  • Monitor and report key performance indicators such as average work order completion time
  • Train and support Facilities personnel on effective use of the department’s computerized maintenance management system ( CMMS ), and work with the CMMS vendor to optimize software configuration and process flow needs
  • Provide back-up support for purchase requisition entry, facilities rentals and scheduling and college records organization and storage
  • Perform other ancillary duties as assigned
Physical Requirements
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT : Positions in this class typically require: stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, fingering, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions. Medium Work – Exerting 10 to 20 pounds of force occasionally. Physical Demand requirements are more than those for Light Work.
