The Department of Marketing at Rutgers Business School—Newark and New Brunswick invites applications for two tenure-track positions at the assistant professor rank to start in September 2023.    

Position 1: This position is focused on a promising scholar whose research interests are aligned with growing and emerging technologies applied in marketing.  Special consideration will be given to applicants who demonstrate cutting-edge research potential in applying modern marketing technologies (martech), including, but not limited to, artificial intelligence, machine learning, blockchain, and the metaverse.  Specific application areas within marketing remain open, including marketing analytics/insights, customer journey, advertising, and pricing.  Candidates for this position should apply online by uploading files to https://jobs.rutgers.edu/postings/176147.

Position 2: We are seeking applicants whose research interests are in digital and social media tools applied to managerially relevant marketing problems.  The substantive area is open to all analytical, empirical, behavioral, or managerial approaches.  Specific areas of application include but are not limited to advertising, branding, sales, retailing, product innovation, and marketing metrics. Requirements

Applicants should either have completed their Ph.D. in Marketing or a related field or expect to complete it prior to joining Rutgers.

Responsibilities

Our faculty members are expected to engage in a high-quality research program, perform excellent teaching at all levels, supervise doctoral students, and engage in service activities.  Applicants will be expected to teach courses in marketing at the undergraduate and graduate levels.  They should also have strong evidence of high-quality scholarly research.

COVID-19 Immunization Requirement

Under Policy 60.1.35 [https://policies.rutgers.edu/60-1-35-currentpdf], Rutgers University requires all prospective employees to provide proof that they are fully vaccinated and have received a booster (where eligible) against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption. Failure to provide proof of primary vaccination and booster will result in rescission of a prospective employee’s offer of employment and/or disciplinary action up to and including termination.
