Janet R. Matthews Endowed Chair in Psychology

The Department of Psychology at The University of Tampa is seeking qualified candidates for the inaugural Janet R. Matthews Endowed Chair in psychology to begin in August 2023. Candidates should have a Ph.D in Psychology, with rank and specialty open. We are seeking candidates with an outstanding record of teaching excellence, scholarship and a demonstrated record of mentoring undergraduate students in research. As a “primarily undergraduate institution,” we are particularly interested in seeking candidates who have a longstanding record of engagement and research mentorship of undergraduate students.

The University is ideally situated on a beautiful 110-acre downtown campus next to the Hillsborough River in Tampa, which is a growing, vibrant, diverse metropolitan area.
