Assistant Professor of History Faculty Opening

The Department of History at Franciscan University of Steubenville (FUS) invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position in History to begin August 2023. FUS is an academically excellent and passionately Catholic university in the Franciscan tradition, located 24 miles west of Pittsburgh International Airport. The successful candidate must possess a Ph.D. or equivalent in American History or a related discipline at the time of employment.  Candidates must be committed to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service, and will support the Franciscan Mission of the University. Preference will be given to candidates prepared to teach the primary field of American History, with possible subfields in South Asian,  Middle Eastern, military or diplomatic history.
