Position Information
Position Title Associate Director of Player Development for Women's Basketball Overview
Oversee all aspects of the player development program for the women’s basketball team. Responsible for compliance with all NCAA rules and regulations.
Essential Duties:
1. Serve as the staff liaison to the office of Academic Support Services ( OAS ) and assist in the monitoring of class attendance and oversight of the study hall program. In junction with the Coordinator of Basketball Operations, oversee all off-court activities for the program, including guiding and assisting student-athletes in utilizing the resources available to develop the skills they need to balance the demands of academics, athletics, and community outreach, while also focusing on personal development.
2. Oversee the video operations program for women’s basketball, including all video operations related to scouting, practice, game, film exchange, and highlight films. Maintain an organized and efficient video room/operation.
3. Oversee the social media and promotional components of the program including maintaining and improving the teams Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook accounts. Research and incorporate new social media outlets that may be used in the future. In conjunction with Media Relations, promote the program to fans, alumni, donors, coaches, and recruits.
Marginal Duties:
1. Perform all other duties as may be required.
Education and Experience Required
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution required.
• Two to five years’ relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent computer skills
• Knowledge of game editing software
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Strong working knowledge and creativity with social media skills
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
• Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
