The Department of Romance Languages and Literatures at the University of Notre Dame invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor in any period or field of Italian literature and culture to begin August 2023. The successful candidate will demonstrate scholarly excellence as evidenced by a strong publication record, and a commitment to both graduate and undergraduate teaching. Research and teaching in the Italian program at Notre Dame range from the Middle Ages to the present and colleagues are expected to contribute across the curriculum. The successful candidate will demonstrate aptitude for program leadership in the Italian Studies Program (https://italianstudies.nd.edu).
