Job Summary:
The Fairleigh Dickinson University Academic Support Center seeks to hire part-time faculty to teach multiple sections of its reading course in fall 2022. Classes meet in-person, once per week, and positions are available on FDU’s Metropolitan Campus in Teaneck, NJ.
Critical Reading and Comprehension is a one-credit course designed to improve students’ academic reading and critical thinking skills so that they can independently study college-level texts across disciplines. Placement into the course is determined by entrance exams, and students who enroll in the class often need support to meet academic goals and adjust to the university environment. We are looking for enthusiastic instructors who are interested in challenging students to make the most of their FDU experience.

The ideal candidate will have a master’s degree and experience teaching developmental reading and/or writing.
