Bachelor's Degree (foreign equivalent or higher). One year of full time experience in a related field. Experience with security concepts, standards, technologies and best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in an SQL database. Experience working with an ERP. Experience with Financial and reporting systems, such as QuickBooks. Experience with Google applications. Experience with two-factor authentication. Experience working with tickets or in an helpdesk environment.

Brief Description of Duties:
The IT Computer Account Manager provides account support in Customer Engagement and Support. Incumbent will assist users with the creation, updating, and disabling of various accounts. They also act as SUNY Administrator to create accounts, verify user identity, removal of account violations and assign roles and permissions for SUNY, SMRT. This position will be responsible for working with confidential and sensitive data. The incumbent should possess strong customer relations, time management and organizational skills. The incumbent should have strong attention to detail and accuracy, along with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Duties:
  • Act as a Security Administrator for SUNY Financials and HRS i.e. SUNY Legacy, SUNY SMRT and SUNY SMART-BI, work closely with Albany SUNY Security Team as well as the local Stony Brook University Assistant VP for Accounting and Services/University Controller, the Director of Accounting, the Director of Accounts Payable, the Associate Director of Purchasing, the Manager of Central Receiving Property Control, the Director of HRS and any other appropriate individuals/departments to create, maintain, and remove user's access/security.
  • Participate in testing production environment of new applications for PeopleSoft Admin (HCM Prod, CS Prod). Use approved browser to run the Computer Accounts Database Accounting system to enter and maintain computer user information for UNIX, NOTES, PeopleSoft and NT servers, including domain and Department Web accounts and Google Apps Accounts. Interact with users via phone, ITSM tickets, and the Computer Accounts Office shared mailbox to resolve issues or direct the user to the proper area for resolution with priority given to requests from Client Support personnel, users on-site, and VIP's. Respond to user Help Desk, both West and East Campus, requests or referrals of Account related problems. Use proper authentication procedures with users for security verification purposes. Verify new accounts for security purposes where needed; assist with access and password issues, and Notes ID files; process password changes; assist with resolving PeopleSoft issues such as duplicate records; assist with student accounts; delete/purge users from systems as appropriate and directed; verify completeness of transactions; notify users of expiring accounts for Faculty, Staff, Students and Guests encompassing West Campus, HSC and University Hospital, LlSVH, SBU Manhattan, SBU Korea & satellite offices.
  • Use the ITSM Trouble Ticket System to assist users with account access issues, account activation, account inactivation, password issues. Includes Notes, NetID, PeopleSoft, Solar, WS, Google Apps, SUNY Financials, and any other appropriate accounts handled by the Computer Accounts Office.
  • Act as a DUO Security Administrator. Work with Interim Chief Information Security Officer, Information Security Admin, Director of Systems, DoIT Windows Admin, and GAPPS Admin to create and implement security procedures with DUO Security 2 Factor Authentication to assist users with passwords, passcodes, device activation and other access issues.
  • Develop, prepare, and assist with documentation for various systems including procedural manuals and online help instructions for users including website information. Compile shared documents in Google Apps to keep record of procedures, compromised accounts, and SUNY documentation for application, research purposes and for statistical data. Keep information for tracking accounts -- i.e., keep records with account information for all systems and all users -- for security and user service assistance.
  • Assist with compromised accounts by working with Information Security, GApps Admin, and DoIT Windows Admins as well as any other appropriate Systems Admin to coordinate in the development of information security procedures and protocols. Contact and assist users when their accounts may have been compromised. In addition, disable accounts and work with appropriate administrators in special circumstances regarding termination, inappropriate account access, and such.
  • Providing back-up coverage for various other professional technical support positions as needed. These duties include processing timesheets of staff working in Computer Accounts.
  • Other duties or projects as assigned as appropriate to rank and departmental mission.

Special Notes:
This is a full time appointment. FLSA Nonexempt position, eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA.
