Position Summary

The Department of Neurosurgery , Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences ( JSMBS ), University at Buffalo (UB), is seeking a Neurosurgical Oncologist at the academic rank of Assistant Professor.

The successful candidate will:
  • Oversee a skull base fellowship with a focus on expanded endonasal and open/endoscopic approaches.
  • Organize weekly multidisciplinary neuro-oncology/skull base conference.
  • Obtain extramural funding specifically in molecular markers and/or outcome data in neurosurgical oncology as well as head and neck cancers.
  • Develop and direct Tumor Center of Excellence/Pituitary Center of Excellence.
  • Have expertise and strong interest in helping provide neurosurgical trauma patient care coverage.

Minimum Qualifications
  • MD, or equivalent degree
  • Board eligible in Neurosurgery

Preferred Qualifications
  • MD/PhD
  • Board certified in Neurosurgery
  • Fellowship trained in endoscopic/endonasal approaches
