Position Summary:
Monmouth University is seeking applications for an Assistant Director of Immigration and Visa Support in the Global Education department.

The candidate would be expected to: perform compliance implementation for all International Students: SEVP / SEVIS / Campus Requirements as follows: (1) apply federal regulations and compliance processes pertinent to F-1 & J-1 immigration status and SEVIS; (2) serve as the University's Primary Designated School Official [PDSO], and a J-1 Program Responsible Officer [RO]; (3) keep Monmouth University SEVP-Certified; (4) liaise with Homeland Security and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) on compliance issues for international students; (5) advise students pursuing federal applications including but not limited to: OPT [optional practical training], CPT [curricular practical training], and Economic Hardship; (6) complete and maintain the SEVIS registration process for all F-1 and J-1 international students each semester; (7) issue I-20 forms; (8) maintain student records; both internal and external systems: (9) undertake professional development opportunities on behalf of Monmouth including regional and state meetings and conferences.

Bachelor's degree

Required Skills or Software:
Must be able to utilize a variety of computer software programs in order to successfully complete assigned tasks, Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, Must be able to treat confidential and sensitive information appropriately, Must be able to operate a variety of office equipment, Basic Knowledge of MS Word 2016, Basic Knowledge of MS Excel 2016

Other Requirements:
Knowledge of immigration laws and procedures. Knowledge of administering U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) procedures and laws. Experience working with students from diverse cultural and educational backgrounds.

Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree. Two years of designated school official (DSO) experience.
