Overview of Simmons

The Biology Department of the College of Natural, Behavioral, and Health Sciences at Simmons University is seeking applicants for an adjunct instructor position in the Biology Department to teach Biol 336L-02 - Genetics Lab during the Fall 2022 semester at our Boston campus in our new Science Center. The Fall semester runs from September 6, 2022 through December 16, 2022. The adjunct faculty instructor will be responsible for leading and supervising the Genetics lab section on Thursdays from 2:00-4:50 PM.

Main Course Description [provided for background: this posting is for laboratory instruction only]

BIOL 336: Genetics Studies the principles of classical and molecular genetics in both eukaryotic and prokaryotic genetics systems as well as population and evolutionary genetics. Emphasizes problem solving to illustrate techniques of genetic analysis. Includes lecture and laboratory sessions.

  • Master's or Ph.D. degree required.
  • Lab teaching experience helpful.
