Whitman School of Management is seeking Postdoctoral Researcher. The successful candidate will conduct research on scientific advisory bodies reporting directly to Professor Roger Koppl, with duties that include working collaboratively with supervisor Professor Roger Koppl and Professor Maria Minniti. They will create, update, and maintain a public database on scientific advisory bodies in the US, UK, Italy, Uganda, and Sweden. They will cooperate with members of the research team in organizing team activities and outputs. Qualifications
The successful candidate is expected to have a PhD in an appropriate discipline such as management, entrepreneurial studies, or economics. They will be able to demonstrate the capacity for high-quality research and the capacity to organize and execute original research. Job Specific Qualifications
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an interest in the topics and themes of the research project, including a familiarity with prior research on the production and distribution of knowledge in society. The preferred candidate will also be familiar with the more important scientific and political events relating to Covid-19 and with significant contributions to the social science literature on that topic. Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining the projected database and for ensuring that it is freely available to the public consistently with current open-access research standards. They will be responsible for project management. In coordination with other members of the research team, they will be responsible for data gathering, and data interpretation.
