Description:
The Admissions Office at Pratt Institute is seeking a creative higher education professional to join its team as Senior Associate Director of Undergraduate Admissions. The Senior Associate Director works closely with the Director of Admissions to provide general oversight of the undergraduate recruitment and admissions processes. The primary role of the position is to provide leadership and supervision over a team of six front-office staff members. With the Director, the position works to ensure the timely delivery and high quality of services and initiatives utilized to recruit, review, and enroll prospective students in the undergraduate degree programs of the institute.

On a typical day you will be required to:
  • Utilize best practices for assigning work, monitoring progress, and assessing outcomes amongst a 6-person team of Admissions Counselors working to reach our Enrollment goals
  • Foster professional development of direct reports, maintain a positive and transparent work environment, and provide on-going training for and assessment of team members
  • Ensure that tasks and initiatives are informed and supported by data; provide an overview of data, goals, and desired outcomes when assigning tasks and assessing performance
  • Track, assess and regularly update Director and staff as to admissions funnel progress and new student enrollment activity
  • Assist the Director with the development and delivery of admissions projects, new student onboarding outreach, and recruitment strategies and outreach


Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree required; graduate degree preferred. Arts degree or coursework in art & design is beneficial.

Experience: 5 to 7 years of admissions or admissions-related experience, with a record of increased responsibility and advancement.

Required Skills: Proven leadership skills; strong people and supervisory skills; ability to establish and nurture a culture of inclusion and transparency for staff; ability to think critically, analyze information, develop reports, and make actionable recommendations; demonstrated ability to build fruitful partnerships with colleagues and offices across a campus; serious attention to detail and ability to see projects through from start to implementation and assessment with a minimum of supervision; experience working with and managing databases; experience utilizing data to drive and influence decisions

This position will require the ability to work on weekends and evenings, as needed.
