The Department of Mathematics in the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics invites applications from candidates working in computational partial differential equations (PDEs) and scientific computing for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position to begin in August 2023.
We are particularly interested in someone with expertise in computational PDE and scientific computing who would complement and enhance the excellent group in applied mathematics at the Department of Mathematics, facilitate interactions with research groups at Texas Medical Center and the UH College of Medicine, and further our strategic connections with other departments at UH in the Advanced Computing and Information Science, the R&D priority area.
Candidates with high-level of competence in the application of computational PDEs and Scientific Computing to Life Science and Medicine are particularly encouraged to apply. The Department of Mathematics is seeking outstanding candidates with the potential for exceptional research, excellence in teaching, and clear commitment to enhancing the diversity of the faculty, graduate and undergraduate student population.

Qualifications :
A minimum requirement for this position is a PhD in Mathematics, or a related field.
