The Department of Kinesiology at California State University San Marcos seeks a part-time lecturer for Fall 2022 to teach KINE 311 (Movement Pedagogy): The critique, design, instruction, implementation, and evaluation of sport pedagogy curriculum and teaching methodologies. Course topics include various types of sports pedagogy curriculum models, evidence-based instructional practices, and the application of such content within various movement settings. Salary is commensurate with credentials and experience.

Minimum qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Physical Education, Teacher Education, Kinesiology, or related fields.
• Per the California State University’s Out-of-State Employment Policy, the CSU is prohibited from hiring employees to perform CSU-related work outside California. Working in the State of California is a condition of employment

Preferred qualifications:

• Ph.D. in Physical Education Teacher Education.
• Experience teaching undergraduate courses related to physical education methods in the K-12 setting
• Experience with Adventure Education curriculum
• Preference will be given to applicants with demonstrated commitment to diversity and/or intercultural competence with diverse groups in relation to teaching (this language must be included in the preferred qualifications).
