Description/Job Summary
BCCC invites qualified candidates to apply for our part-time faculty position to teach in-person ART classes this upcoming Spring 2023 semester. The foundation for the drawing class is in observed form with steps into surrealism and abstraction. Media will include: pencil, charcoal, pastel, ink, and possibly digitally based media. There will be extended projects involving self-direction with guidance from the instructor. Part-time appointments are made on a semester-by-semester (as needed) basis and may include dual enrollment courses.

Responsibilities/Duties
Overview of the Position:
- Facilitate instruction through the use of slides, lectures, discussion, gallery and museum visitations, written and appropriate art studio projects.
- Develop Curriculum
- Assess and grade students’ work in a timely and professional manner
- Participate in Student Learning Outcomes Assessment (SLOA) Process
- Attend Professional Development workshops and trainings
- Communicate effectively with students as well as with colleagues and staff
- Master's Degree in Fine Arts or related field
- Two(2) or three (3) years of teaching experience at a community college
